about

My fourth album, "Misplaced in the Lake Mist", will be released next week. These 14 tracks trace an image (whether it be bleak or adventurous) of engaging on a solo boating trip on a Misty lake, ultimately getting lost & colliding with the cascade effect of emotional stress.

While living in Williams Lake, I began to work on the start of this album. Being faced with frigid winters & no vehicle to get around town with, I'd come home and try to play guitar to warm my hands up, thawing out the near frostbite. I have to say, playing the Keys is A LOT easier than Guitar when your hands are almost frozen purple from the Arctic elements outside. I was given an ultimatum via the Universe or whatever foreshadowing aspects of life to get myself in check or else unspeakable chaos would continue to emerge in front of my eyes. Living on the Bottle is a nowhere goal (unless your objective is to die before the age of 32). I packed my bags and walked, bussed, flew back home (the whole while facing black out dilemmas & violent interactions), and eventually made it on Home turf. Keep in mind, these are mere understatements of the blade-to-throat reality of Alcohol addiction.

The last two months I was able to power wash the murky residue of the end of last year/start of this year off the plate I wish to eat off of. A lot of these tracks hold reminders of who & what I lost amongst the War of Sanity stemming from my previous life in the Okanagan. However, my refreshed mind wishes to move back to that City soon to start over.
I spent more time focusing on higher quality with this release. I found a program to "master" these tracks properly, which have given them quite a bit more intensity/clarity. There's a return of previous Acoustic strums, picks, techy slides & melodies, with a bit more electronic ambience/lo-fi warmth. I hope these find you when you most need them.
